New tenant for Dakota Park

Sarah Oliver Friday, October 17, 2014

Agility Logistics has moved into their new facility within Dakota Park. Agility is an existing airport tenant, however their building was required for other purposes. The old building is currently being demolished to make way for the Memorial Ave / Russley Road intersection upgrade. CIAL and Agility worked together to design and build the new 2,450sqm building right in the heart of Dakota Park. The new building has a larger warehouse and an office area that better suits their requirements. www.agility.com

Central water storage facility for Dakota Park

Sarah Oliver Thursday, October 16, 2014

Dakota Park now has a central water storage facility for fire sprinkler systems. It has a capacity of 600,000 litres and is approved by the NZ Fire Service to service all buildings within Dakota Park (excluding tenants with high hazard specific requirements). This has significant savings for the developer that can now be passed onto new tenants. Just another reason to be at Dakota Park.

Extension of the road network

Sarah Oliver Friday, October 10, 2014

CIAL has completed an extension of the road network and building services in Dakota Park. This involved George Bellew Road extending a further 800m, through to Grays Road. George Bellew Road is 15m wide and is now longer than the original airport runway that was constructed in 1937. Syd Bradley Road was extended a further 200m, to one third of its final destination of Grays Road. These extensions have opened up large areas of land allowing for immediate development.

Recall NZ first moved to Dakota Business Park in 2011, and due to the rapid expansion of Recall’s business they have already extended their building. This international standard facility has expanded by a further 2,000sqm, providing a total floor area of 8,800sqm. On Tuesday 2nd September the entire building was officially opened by the Hon Lianne Dalziel, Her Worship the Mayor of Christchurch. This facility can now hold up to 750,000 standard recall boxes plus a further area for climate controlled storage. www.recall.co.nz
